Sampling in USA: Destin's East Pass, Niceville, Florida

April 19th 2005 the Northwest Florida NaGISA team including Niceville High School students and teachers teamed up with scientist from Simon Bolivar University (Venezuela), and volunteer divers from Okaloosa County Sheriff's department and the Naval School of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit to sample Destins`s East Pass in Niceville, Florida. Here are photos from the day where 5 inter tidal teams each sampled the high, mid and low tide zones and the underwater teams did five replicates of 1M and 5M depths from both the sandy beach areas and the jetties before going back to the lab and separating, identifying and weighing the macrofauna. For more details read the resulting newspaper article.
