- NaGISA joined the CoML Outreach and Education Meeting. Hosted by
the University of
Rhode Island Office of Marine Programs (Jan, 2003)
- NaGISA International revisits Thailand. Karen Stock (OBIS) visited
Japan and discussed database strategies and possible links between
OBIS, GTI Japan and NaGISA. (Feb, 2003)
- NaGISA goes Online. Shirayama visited the Jamstec database center
in Okinawa and proposed a collaboration that is still under discussion
and Thailand NaGISA had a visit from the American Embassy staff in
Bangkok. (Mar.2003)
- Alaska NaGISA hosted a workshop entitled: Arctic
Biodiversity at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus, April 11-14

- Sampling in the Arctic Circle continues (Boulder Patch site) neither the
wet weather or low visibility (in the water) deterred the
crew.(Sep.2003)
- NaGISA will host its first Scientific Steering Committee meeting in
Washington DC on the 22 of October and and will take part in the CoML Media Launch on
the 23 of October at the Smithsonian Institute. (Oct,2003)
