In August NaGISA`s Indian and Atlantic Ocean regions joined forces to create a cross-cultural marine educational exchange.  Students from Niceville High School (Florida, USA) and Kizimkazi High School (Central Province, Kenya) traveled to Zanzibar (Tanzania) with researchers from the University of Dar es Salaam, the Kenyan Marine Fisheries Research Institute and the University of Southern Mississippi, Gulf Coast Research Lab at Ocean Springs to sample the first NaGISA island site in the Indian Ocean.
